Since 1897, Leeder Monuments has created beautiful memorials for generations of families across Eastern Ontario. We don’t just sell monuments. We offer a full service monument and engraving facility.

With over 400 monuments on site, it’s worth the trip to Gananoque where you will receive exceptional one-on-one service with an experienced consultant who listens to your wishes, provides guidance and advice, and helps you create a life-long memorial for your loved one within your budget. If you are unable to make the drive, our consultants would be more than happy to meet with you in your home. Leeder Monuments is dedicated to serving the interests of customers.

Leeder Monuments uses only the finest quality granite memorials. Ordered from across North America and overseas, we deal with only reputable companies that offer number one first quality clear stock granite. Granite consists of crystals and the harder the crystals, the easier to engrave. The smaller the crystal and the closer the grain, the better the contrast for engraving.
We purchase blank unengraved monuments of all shapes, sizes and colours. Once a family has chosen the layout for names, dates and artwork, our engravers go to work creating stunning memorials.

Your family should never feel pressured to make such a significant and important purchase at a time of loss. The bereavement process is critical to healing. When enough time has passed that you feel comfortable discussing a memorial for your loved one, Leeder Monuments encourages you to seek out information. Not all monument companies are the same. The quality of granite offered varies. Prices vary. Make an informed decision and allow Leeder Monuments consultants to sit down and discuss what may be best for you.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

A Bit of History

Jack Leeder first opened Leeder Monuments on Charles Street in downtown Gananoque in 1897. He operated the business until after WWII when his son William (Bill) Leeder took over in 1945.

Bill ran the business for over 30 years before his death in 1980.

Doug Wilson, started to work for Leeder Monuments in 1979 and purchased the business from the estate of William Leeder in 1982.

Doug made the decision at that time to build a new facility to include an expanded shop and more land to showcase monuments. Leeder Monuments continues to operate at the same location of 221 County Road #32 in Gananoque, just north of the 401.
